St. James Catholic School is a Christ-centered community inspired by the charism of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Sisters that prepares students for a life of learning and service to God.
I graduated from St. James over 20 years ago. St. James served as the foundation for my academic life which culminated with the completion of the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry. When my wife and I were choosing a school for our children, St. James was a natural fit. Our expectations were exceeded by the sense of community throughout the school and church and the strong Catholic fundamentals that St. James has continued to develop in our children. It has been rewarding to reconnect with other St. James graduates that have also chosen to send their children to St. James.
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to send my children to St. James. I love that their education is enriched with the Catholic teachings of the IHM Sisters, steeped in state-of-the-art technology and built on the foundation of service, family and love. When I step through those school doors, I feel like I’ve returned home.
This is our first year at St. James and we have been enamored by our decision to send our sons to St. James. When we were analyzing and interviewing schools for our children we did not consider St James because we are not Catholic, despite knowing about its strong academic reputation. However, we decided to visit the school two days before their registration opened and ended up registering our boys immediately. We were truly overwhelmed by such a loving and embracing community. The school has provided our family with a challenging curriculum, an enriched community, a loving environment, an inclusive religious curriculum, and a program that incorporates physical activity and sports in addition to classroom work.
