St. James School is dedicated to Christian principles rooted in the Catholic tradition, providing the highest quality Catholic education to each student. St. James’ Christian atmosphere nurtures a strong academic program that is caring and disciplined, conducive to learning, and provides activities that cultivate the importance of life, values, morality and ethics.
Registration continues until classes are full. A child must be four years of age on or before September 1 to enter pre-kindergarten and five years of age on or before September 1 to enter kindergarten.
Children entering St. James for grades 1 through 8 will be given math and reading placement tests and students in grades 3-8 will also be asked to submit a writing sample prior to acceptance.
Parents of all new students are required to submit their child(ren)’s birth certificate, Social Security card, certificate of immunization (form GA-3231) and ear, eye and dental certificate (EED form GA-3300) and their last two report cards. In addition, new Catholic students must also provide a baptismal certificate, other sacramental certificates, and a Parish Participation card signed by their pastor.
Every family is required to have a FACTS account. All charges (such as lunches, after care, etc.) will be deducted from this account. NOTE: FACTS charges a yearly fee of $43.
St. James offers partial tuition assistance through two forms of Financial Aid. The deadline for financial aid forms is March 1. Please contact Pam Haverland at 355-3132 (ex 302) for additional information.
